Failed to download virtual disk files

I found the 5nine V2V converter, which looked like a nice tool, and thought I'd give it a try... I tried to convert a VMware guest to a newly built Hyper-V 2012 R2 server. I connect to the VMware server successfully, run through the wizard, etc. The software shuts down the guest on VMware, then immediately I'm met with an error "Failed to Download the virtual disk files." Closing the error prompt closes the 5nine converter app...

I'm running the app directly on the Server 2012 R2 box, and I am running with admin privileges.

I'm including a copy of the ConverterTrace.log file as there is an Exception at the end of the process (hopefully this is useful).

    Hello jpochedl,

You have a VM called "Borax (Bldg Security)”.

Our tool uses name of VM as a directory name and a file name for a disk image.
Looks like a directory was created successfully:
Message: Temp Path created in F:\V2V\Borax (Bldg Security)
But disk image file - not:
Message: VMwareProvider.GetGuestHardDisks: obtaining disks for virtual machine 'Borax (Bldg Security)'

    Suggestion:
Rename VM - do not use spaces and ().
